CBS offers Short Term Accommodation (STA) respite services at our modern and comfortable property located in Kingston. Let us take care of your home away from home arrangements and tailor the experience just how you would like it.
It’s a chance to try new things, enjoy the comforts of a home environment and recharge. As they say, a change is as good as a holiday. STA also means your family or carer can get some time to refresh too – everyone wins.
The property:
The property is totally accessible, features all the mod cons and has several choices of living areas. Soak up some sunshine in the garden or simply relax however you do it.
Enjoy close proximity to the local amenities, including a lovely beach with an excellent accessible foreshore walk. Hobart CBD is just a short drive away.
Support provided:
Our staff will make sure your support needs are met.
This could include:
- Nutrition
- Meal planning and cooking
- Personal care such as showering and dressing
- Taking medication
- Planning social outings with you

Who can stay?
We welcome people with NDIS funding for STA, older Tasmanians with funding under their HCP (Home Care Package) and those who wish to fund privately.
Where there is more than one person using the service, we will consult with you and make sure you are well matched in age and interests.
Pricing
For people funded for and living with disability, we charge in line with the NDIS price guide which generally increases annually.
For people receiving funding for Aged Care services, our pricing is in line with respite charges.
