The Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP) provides access to entry-level support services to help you live independently in your own home. It is designed to provide a small amount of services to people who need just a little assistance to maintain independence and keep participating in the community.
This program is for people 65 years of age and over or 50 years of age and over for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders.
The CHSP is funded by the Australian Government. Scroll down the page to see the range of services we can provide with this funding.
If your needs are greater or you require additional services not covered by CHSP, you can apply for a Home Care Package.
Eligibility and referral
To obtain services a referral must be made to My Aged Care. When your assessment is complete and your funding is approved, you can request Community Based Support as your provider of choice.
