Social Hub program October – December 2024
Sep 19, 2024
The CBS social hub program for October to December has just been launched and is packed with activities designed to engage, entertain, and bring people together. Whether you prefer the comfort of staying in at the hub or love exploring Tasmania’s beautiful outdoors, this program has something for everyone.
The outdoor enthusiasts will enjoy the variety of trips planned throughout the season. October kicks off with visits to Sandy Bay Beach and Bellerive Boardwalk, where participants can enjoy a stroll and a bakery stop. Trips to Montrose Bay, South Arm RSL, and the Grand Hotel in Huonville follow, offering scenic spots and social lunches. November and December will see more exciting destinations, including the Puddleduck Vineyard, mystery bus tours, and outings to the popular Dru Point. The Hub Olympics is another outdoor highlight, offering friendly competition with plenty of fun.
For those who prefer staying at the hubs in New Town or Kingston, there are plenty of creative activities to look forward to. October features baking days, where clients can whip up chocolate chip cookies or festive treats closer to Christmas. The crafting sessions will also focus on seasonal themes, such as leaf art to celebrate spring and Christmas card-making in December. There’s also a special Halloween cooking session in October, followed by a Halloween hub party to add some spooky excitement. As we head into December, the hubs will be filled with festive energy with activities like making Christmas decorations and baking biscuits for the holidays.
The program also includes themed events and important causes. In October, there will be morning teas for Breast Cancer Awareness Month at both the Kingston and New Town hubs, combining a social gathering with a meaningful cause. And when it comes to fun and relaxation, movie days are scattered throughout the program, offering a chance to sit back with friends and enjoy a movie.
December will wrap up the year with plenty of festive activities. Christmas-themed workshops will help participants get into the holiday spirit, including making mini quiches and enjoying a backyard picnic as part of the Christmas wind-down. The grand finale of the program is the Hubs Christmas Party, set to take place at the Tasmanian Golf Club. Clients can enjoy a festive lunch with friends, marking the perfect end to the year.
For those who like a bit of variety, the “your choice” days gives you the freedom to explore what excites you. Whether it’s picking a movie, planning a craft session, or simply relaxing with friends, these days are designed to be flexible, ensuring that everyone has the chance to enjoy what they love.
Throughout the program, some activities may come with a small cost, such as bakery outings or entry fees to certain venues. Be sure to contact CBS for up-to-date information on activities, bookings, and any associated costs.
